Bees Nees Sailing Charters
The YachtWe are the proud owners of a beautiful 35 foot wooden motor sailor "The Bees Nees". The boat is fully equiped and licenced to carry up to 10 passengers. The ample deck space and seating area means it can be chartered for a range of different activities such as fishing, snorkling, diving, island hopping, wildlife and bird spotting to name but a few. Our galley can provide light refreshments and can even cook your catch of the day.
The TripsThis unique way of seeing Connemara, Galway bay or the Aran Islands, and the freedom it provides, allows our guests the opportunity to pursue their chosen voyage at their own pace. Whether it be exploring the islands (both inhabited and uninhabited) or simply dropping anchor in one of Connemara's many secluded bays, we can tailor a trip to suit your individual tastes. Some of the more popular trips include landing at secluded corners of the Aran Islands or attending one of the local maritime festivals, taking place from Roundstone to Kinvara, with the famous Galway Hooker races as their centre piece. Following the races by sea on the Bees Nees is a thrilling experience.
Location: Carraroe, ConnemaraWhile we can cater for trips out of many piers and harbours around Galway and Connemara. For the best experience we would encourage you to sail from our home pier, 'Caladh Thaidhg', located just one hour's drive from Galway city in Carraroe at the heart of Connemara.
From the city take the Spideal road (R336), through Spideal and on as far as Casla, then take the R343 straight to Carraroe.
From Clifden, Carraroe is also about an hour drive. Take the road toward Galway City then turn right in Maam cross for Casla, and then the R343 to Carraroe.
